Cultus Lake Waterpark

Summer is almost over and I felt guilty for my kids that we have not been to any places the whole summer break. I tried to search for a place wherein the kids would enjoy and at the same time I want it to be somewhere where we haven't been before that would be easy to plan. While browsing through the net, I came across the website of Cultus Lake WaterPark and find it interesting to explore. I filed a vacation leave on that same week, packed our things and drive through Chilliwack.

It was a smooth 1.5hr drive from Vancouver, we were at the park by 9AM a little bit early for the 10AM opening time. I still have time to roam around to take some photos and information at the entrance gate. Full day pass will be from 10AM to 7:30PM for $30 for adults/19.05 for kids and twilight pass from 3:30PM to 7:30PM for $19.05 for adult/13.33 for kids.

People came few minutes before 10AM so you have to line up in the queue if you want to be able to get in first so you can get your perfect choice of the picnic table. The park is very strict with the things that are not permitted to be brought inside the waterpark. They will check all the bags and coolers for these: Alcohol and open beverages, drugs, glass and sharp objects, BBQ's and outside restaurant food.

They have different types of picnic tables the ones which have tents, the free standing and the umbrella type. I specifically like this umbrella type because of the shape and color.  Another good thing about this is it's for free so you don't have to pay for the picnic tables. You could also bring your own tent and chairs or even your picnic blanket.

The park also has a lot of amenities for the guest's convenience. What I like most about this waterpark is that most of their slides are kid-friendly. You can either have your kids go alone with certain height limit or be with your kids to slide. Each slides also shows some signs of the severity of the slides so you can decide which slide you want to try depending on how daredevil you are.

This waterpark is also strategically located, across this park is Cultus Lake Adventure Park and the Cultus Lake Picnic area and the campground.
